A creamy, tangy homemade remoulade sauce with pickles, capers, garlic, mustard, and gentle heat.

- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped dill pickles
- 1 tablespoon capers, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 small garlic clove, finely grated or minced
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon Creole or Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce, optional
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Chop the pickles, capers, parsley, and garlic finely.
- Whisk mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Creole seasoning, paprika, black pepper, and hot sauce.
- Stir in the pickles, capers, parsley, and garlic.
- Taste and adjust lemon juice, hot sauce, pickle juice, or salt.
- Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Stir before serving; thin with lemon juice or water if needed.
Notes
Use full-fat mayonnaise for the smoothest texture.
Taste before adding salt because capers, pickles, mustard, and seasoning may be salty.
Store airtight in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
