- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans (14.5 ounces each) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a large pot over medium heat and add the ground beef, browning it until fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent, roughly 5 minutes.
- Stir in the undrained diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and beef broth.
- Mix in the chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat to low and cover the pot.
- Let it simmer for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed before serving.
