Description

A delightful fusion of savory and sweet, Maple Glazed Tofu is a unique twist on a classic plant-based protein that’s quick to prepare and budget-friendly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 block Firm or Extra Firm Tofu
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess water and cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. Whisk together maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl to make the glaze.
  3. Toss the tofu cubes in the glaze until they are generously coated.
  4. Heat a pan over medium heat and add the tofu; cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and crispy.
  5. Serve the glazed tofu over rice, noodles, or alongside vegetables as desired.

Notes

For an extra crispy finish, consider adding a teaspoon of cornstarch to the glaze. Adjust the sweetness or saltiness of the glaze to match personal preference.
