Description
A delicious and savory dish that combines sweet, spicy, and umami flavors with tender, marinated chicken.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, gochujang, minced garlic, sesame oil, grated ginger, and rice vinegar in a bowl to form the marinade.
- Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes—longer for more flavor!
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook in the skillet for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest before slicing.
- Serve the chicken, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
For maximum flavor, consider marinating your chicken for up to 2 hours or overnight. Adjust spice levels to taste.
