Description

A delicious and savory dish that combines sweet, spicy, and umami flavors with tender, marinated chicken.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, gochujang, minced garlic, sesame oil, grated ginger, and rice vinegar in a bowl to form the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes—longer for more flavor!
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook in the skillet for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
  5. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest before slicing.
  6. Serve the chicken, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Notes

For maximum flavor, consider marinating your chicken for up to 2 hours or overnight. Adjust spice levels to taste.
