Description

A savory chili made with ground beef, beans, and spices, perfect for chilly evenings and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 can black beans
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
  4. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper, blending everything together.
  5. Add the kidney beans, black beans, and diced tomatoes; stir until fully incorporated.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for at least 30 minutes to develop those rich flavors.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with your choice of toppings—think shredded cheese, sour cream, or fresh cilantro.

Notes

This chili can be customized with various toppings. To make it spicier, add jalapeños or crushed red pepper flakes.
