Description

Delightful soft and chewy cookies with a vibrant exterior, perfect for sharing on Valentine’s Day or any special occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz) bag of Funfetti sugar cookie mix
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup pink or white sanding sugar or non-pareils
  • 18 Hershey’s Strawberry Ice Cream Cone Kisses

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the Funfetti sugar cookie mix with softened cream cheese and the egg. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. In a shallow bowl, pour the sanding sugar or non-pareils.
  4. Using a 1½ tablespoon scoop, scoop the dough and roll it in the sugar or non-pareils to coat. Shape the dough into smooth balls.
  5. If the dough feels too sticky, chill it in the fridge for 30 to 60 minutes to make it easier to work with.
  6. Arrange the cookie balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 1½ inches apart.
  7. Bake for 8 to 12 minutes, until the edges are set while the centers remain soft.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool for 3 to 5 minutes, then gently press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.
  9. Cool completely or enjoy them warm right out of the oven.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use a gluten-free sugar cookie mix as a direct substitute. You can also experiment with different fillings for the cookies.
