Description

A creamy sweet potato casserole with a crunchy pecan and brown sugar layer, perfect for family gatherings and holidays.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups sweet potatoes, mashed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, milk, sugar, melted butter, beaten eggs, vanilla, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the sweet potato mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together brown sugar, flour, chopped pecans, and softened butter to create the topping.
  5. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the sweet potato mixture.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
