Description

Delightful flaky danishes filled with cream cheese and strawberry jam, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the puff pastry sheet.
  3. Cut the pastry into squares, about 4 inches each.
  4. In the center of each square, place a teaspoon of cream cheese followed by a teaspoon of strawberry jam.
  5. Fold the corners of the pastry squares toward the center and pinch them to seal.
  6. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a lovely glaze.
  7. Arrange the danishes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar if desired.
