Description

A heartwarming blend of pizza flavors and casserole comfort, perfect for family meals any night of the week.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • Optional Toppings: mini pepperoni, olives, bell peppers, green onions, mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. In a large skillet, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  4. Drain excess grease.
  5. Add marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; simmer for a few minutes.
  6. Spread the beef mixture in the baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella cheese over the beef.
  8. Arrange tater tots in a single layer over the cheese and top with remaining cheese.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until tots are golden and cheese is bubbling.
  10. Add optional toppings and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  11. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize with your favorite pizza toppings. Leftovers can be frozen for up to 3 months.
