- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups marinara sauce
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 8 ounces lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 teaspoon Italian herbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Sauté chopped onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Add the ground meat, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Pour in the marinara sauce and broth, stirring to combine.
- Add the pasta and bring to a gentle boil; simmer until your noodles are tender.
- Stir in ricotta and half the mozzarella until melted and creamy.
- Season with herbs and adjust the salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, topped with the remaining mozzarella and a sprinkle of fresh basil.
Notes
Undercook pasta slightly as it will absorb broth while standing. You can substitute ingredients based on preferences.
