Description

A delicious and satisfying dish featuring kielbasa, creamy cheese, and hearty pasta, perfect for family dinners or quick weeknight meals.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz penne or rotini pasta
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 14 oz kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cups chicken broth (low sodium)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced kielbasa and cook for 4–5 minutes until browned.
  3. Toss in the minced garlic and chopped onion; sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant and translucent.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream; bring to a light simmer.
  5. Add the pasta, stirring before covering the pot. Let simmer for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally until the pasta reaches al dente.
  6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce has become creamy. Then, add in the shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese, stirring until fully melted.
  7. Season the dish with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika if desired.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
