Description

A comforting baked chicken dish that is crispy on the outside and melty on the inside, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, mix the breadcrumbs, half of the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and milk together until well combined.
  4. Place the flour in a third dish, ready for dredging.
  5. Take each chicken breast and coat it first in the flour, shaking off the excess.
  6. Dip the floured chicken into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  7. Finally, roll the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
  8. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the coated chicken and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown.
  9. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish. In a bowl, mix the remaining Parmesan, mozzarella, and minced garlic. Sprinkle this cheesy mixture over the chicken.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C).
