Description

A delightful dish of creamy orzo pasta bursting with fresh lemon flavors and a comforting touch of parmesan, perfect for weeknights or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the orzo pasta according to package instructions. Once done, drain it and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream, followed by the lemon juice and grated parmesan cheese. Stir and cook until everything is heated through.
  4. Toss the cooked orzo into the skillet, mixing well to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve warm, garnished with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and flavor.

Notes

For best flavor, use freshly squeezed lemon juice. You can substitute heavy cream with a mix of milk and cream or a dairy-free alternative. Keep an eye on the garlic while sautéing to avoid burning.
