Description
A delightful dish of creamy orzo pasta bursting with fresh lemon flavors and a comforting touch of parmesan, perfect for weeknights or family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the orzo pasta according to package instructions. Once done, drain it and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream, followed by the lemon juice and grated parmesan cheese. Stir and cook until everything is heated through.
- Toss the cooked orzo into the skillet, mixing well to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm, garnished with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and flavor.
Notes
For best flavor, use freshly squeezed lemon juice. You can substitute heavy cream with a mix of milk and cream or a dairy-free alternative. Keep an eye on the garlic while sautéing to avoid burning.
