A comforting and hearty Instant Pot chili that combines ground beef, beans, and spices for a quick and delicious meal.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Set the Instant Pot to ‘Sauté’ mode and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, then drain any excess fat.
- Toss in the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
- Mix in chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Add the kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, and beef broth. Stir well to ensure even distribution.
- Close the lid of the Instant Pot, setting it to ‘High Pressure’ for 15 minutes.
- Once the time is up, allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then perform a quick release for any remaining pressure.
- Stir the chili one last time before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or plant-based meat. Can be served with cornbread, cheese, sour cream, or fresh cilantro.
