Description
A delightful combination of sweet and savory flavors, transforming regular chicken breasts into a gourmet dish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, and minced garlic to create the sauce.
- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove chicken and set aside.
- Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet and simmer for 1-2 minutes, scraping up browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Return chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce, and transfer it to a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 10-15 minutes or until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Allow skillet to cool, tent chicken with foil, and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving with remaining sauce.
Notes
Marinate chicken for deeper flavor. Use a meat thermometer for best results. This recipe is also great with a side of rice or steamed veggies.
