- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add drained kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, and beef broth. Stir thoroughly to combine.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning before serving.
