Description

A creamy, cheesy chicken dish that’s effortlessly prepared in a slow cooker, perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken dry. Season both sides with salt and pepper generously.
  2. Combine the chicken broth, heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, and red pepper flakes (if using) in a bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Arrange the seasoned chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  4. Pour the creamy mixture evenly over the chicken.
  5. Scatter the sun-dried tomatoes on top.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  7. Stir in the butter about 30 minutes before serving.
  8. Sprinkle chopped fresh basil or parsley on top for freshness before serving warm.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream. This dish can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
