Description

A comforting, flavorful crock pot chili that simmers to perfection, ideal for busy weeknights and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. In your slow cooker, combine the browned beef, kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, bell pepper, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir everything well to ensure the ingredients are evenly mixed.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Serve hot, and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to adjust the spices and ingredients based on your preference. This chili is excellent with cornbread or tortilla chips.
