- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup ditalini pasta
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until beautifully browned. Remove from the pot and set aside.
- In the same pot, add the diced onion and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a rolling boil.
- Add the ditalini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 7-8 minutes.
- Return the cooked sausage to the pot, then stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook until heated through and cheese has melted.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
