- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound to an even thickness. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Lower the heat and melt butter in the same skillet. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add heavy cream to deglaze the pan, incorporating brown bits from the bottom. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and let simmer until sauce thickens slightly.
- Return seared chicken to the skillet and simmer for another 2–3 minutes to coat with the sauce.
Notes
Serve over mashed potatoes or polenta for an elevated dining experience.
