Description

This easy, protein-packed cottage cheese pizza bowl is everything you love about pizza without the crust! Ready in minutes, it’s a high-protein, low-carb meal that’s satisfying, cheesy, and totally customizable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup Low Fat Cottage Cheese, see notes
  • ¼ cup Marinara Sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  •  teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes, see notes
  • ¼ cup Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese
  • 8 slices Turkey Pepperoni, diced
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped Fresh Basil, optional

Instructions

  1. Scoop cottage cheese into a microwave-safe bowl. For a creamier texture, blend it in a food processor first.
  2. Spoon marinara sauce over the cottage cheese and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  3. Top with shredded mozzarella and any desired toppings (turkey pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, etc.).
  4. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring gently between each, until the cheese is melted and everything is hot (about 1-2 minutes).
  5. Carefully remove from the microwave and garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

For a thicker base, strain the cottage cheese slightly or use small-curd cottage cheese. Shredding your own cheese from a block ensures a smoother melt. Customize with your favorite pizza toppings to make it your own!
