- ¼ cup Marinara Sauce
- ¼ teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- ⅛ teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes, see notes
- ¼ cup Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese
- 8 slices Turkey Pepperoni, diced
- 1 tablespoon Chopped Fresh Basil, optional
Instructions
- Scoop cottage cheese into a microwave-safe bowl. For a creamier texture, blend it in a food processor first.
- Spoon marinara sauce over the cottage cheese and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
- Top with shredded mozzarella and any desired toppings (turkey pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, etc.).
- Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring gently between each, until the cheese is melted and everything is hot (about 1-2 minutes).
- Carefully remove from the microwave and garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
For a thicker base, strain the cottage cheese slightly or use small-curd cottage cheese. Shredding your own cheese from a block ensures a smoother melt. Customize with your favorite pizza toppings to make it your own!
