Description

A nutritious and delicious twist on classic chicken parmesan featuring tender chicken breast, zesty marinara sauce, and creamy cottage cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and place it in a baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over the chicken, followed by dollops of cottage cheese and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning.
  4. Top with mozzarella cheese, ensuring it’s well-covered.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Serve with garlic bread or a fresh garden salad. For added flavor, drizzle with balsamic glaze or top with fresh basil.
