Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
  • 1 stalk fresh lemongrass or 1 teaspoon dried lemongrass
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon dried orange peel or 1 strip fresh (optional)
  • 2 cups water
  • Raw honey, to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add ginger, lemongrass, cinnamon stick, and orange peel to a small pot with 2 cups of water.
  2. Bring to a gentle boil, then lower heat and simmer uncovered for 10–12 minutes.
  3. Strain into a mug.
  4. Sweeten with raw honey if desired.
  5. Serve hot, or chill it for a refreshing iced version.
