- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/4 cup flour

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the canned yams, melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, eggs, milk, and salt. Mix until smooth.
- Pour this yam mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- In another bowl, mix chopped pecans, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter together to create the topping.
- Sprinkle the pecan mixture evenly over the yam layer.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a healthier version, substitute unsweetened almond milk for regular milk.
