Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup crushed strawberries
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend into the creamed mixture until combined.
  5. Fold in the crushed strawberries and chocolate chips.
  6. Drop cookie dough by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown around the edges.
  8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For the best flavor, use fresh strawberries. Don’t overmix the dough after adding dry ingredients.
