Welcome to Emily Parker’s Culinary Corner!
Hello! I’m Emily Parker, a 38-year-old mother of two amazing and adventurous children living outside of Austin, Texas. Whether it’s my kids’ soccer practice, the science projects I’m working on, or the occasional dance party I attend, there’s always something cooking.

I’ve always enjoyed cooking, and it wasn’t until I became a mom that I found my rhythm in the kitchen. There’s a special appeal to preparing a hot meal for your family after a long day, especially when you bring them all together smiling and their plates empty.
My goal has always been to make delicious, quick, and easy homemade meals on busy weeknights. Imagine hearty homemade dishes, 30-minute pasta, and slow-cooked soups that taste just as good.

I grew up in a small town in Oklahoma, where Sunday dinners were sacred and casseroles were a love language. My grandmother taught me to make biscuits from scratch, and my father made the best chili in the neighborhood. These recipes are my roots, but over the years I’ve added a twist—inspired by friends, cookbooks, and my occasional late-night cooking show binge-watching.

For me, cooking isn’t about perfection. I’ve burned more than one dinner and had my share of “Plan B” nights (hello, cereal!), but every kitchen misstep has taught me something new. I think it’s important to share not only the recipes that work, but also the real stories behind them—the ones where flour appears on the counter and laughter lingers in the background.

If you’re a novice cook, a working parent, or just someone who appreciates a good shortcut without compromising taste, you’ve come to the right place. In a way, I want my kitchen to be just like yours, where food is prepared with love and eaten with care.

Let’s cook!
